What to see in: Eauze

Armagnac region

Version Française

Eauze is the smallest of the three main towns around which the production of Armagnac is centered. But its citizens (about 4500) are famous for the festivities associated with the annual Eau-de-vie d'Armagnac fair.

Some places to visit are:

  • Château de Castelmore the birth place of d'Artagnan

  • Musée Archéologie shows treasures of Eauze discovered in 1985. Some 28,000 coins and precious objects from the Gallo-Roman times (170 and 251 A.D.) are displayed.

  • St Luperc a magnificent Cathedral overlooking the town
